Beth Dever keeps this show humming – literally – as she manages our live Foley team, stage manages, and associate produces.
In 2006, while her daughter attended a studio dance program, Beth rediscovered her love for theater from high school; while she’s had no interest in acting, she is passionate about all aspects of live theatre.
SLIGHTLY OFF CENTER PLAYERS (“SOCP”) immediately took up Beth’s offer for costuming, painting sets, handling props, and stage managing their shows. The first show she did was Miracle Worker; she continued to do shows with SOCP, and continued as a member of their board until SOCP closed their doors in 2011.
Since that time she has worked with several area theaters, high schools, and San Jacinto College in several shows and musicals including Suessical, King & I, If I Never Saw Another Butterfly, Footloose, Pillowman, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolfe, and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern, where she met and worked with Dr. David LeMaster for the first time.
Going on their fourth show together, Beth thanks Patience Wieland and David LeMaster for this opportunity and their broad mindedness working with her in addition to her family at home that continues to allow her to pursue her interests in this world called theater.
